A founder of National Skills Academy for Retail, The Learning Shop is a recruitment and training agency based at Bluewater, its partners include; Lend Lease, North West Kent College and JobCentrePlus. The Learning Shop began life over a decade ago when it first started to offer its services in the; customer services, hospitality and retail sectors.
Amongst the training opportunities available include: Apprenticeships (more details at the foot of the page), NVQs, custom programmes, short and intermediate courses, Level 2 and 3 Diploma in Fashion Retail, Health & Safety Compliance For Retail and CV advice and coaching and much more, full details on the website.
Their track record is to have filled 27,000 jobs and delivered 15,000 training opportunities since they first opened their doors. the Learning Shop is unique in this part of Kent and has become a one stop shop for many retail and hospitality businesses as well as job seekers.

Apprenticeships enable you to 'earn while you learn' and gain a recognised qualification. You will work with a local employer and train for one day a week or fortnight at The Learning Shop in College. A contract is formed between you, your employer and The Learning Shop to ensure the programme is working effectively.
The Learning Shop will check that your employer pays you a fair wage in accordance with the National Minimum Wage guidelines, and that they provide a safe working environment, including appropriate working hours, releasing you from work to attend your training programme.
All Apprenticeships include the following basic elements: An NVQ at Level 2 or Level 3. Key Skills or functional skills qualifications, including communication and application of numbers. An apposite technical certificate.
In order to be considered candidates must be: at least sixteen years of age, not in full time education, satisfy legal requirements to work in the UK, willingness ability and motivation to complete the task.
