The Royal Mail Apprenticeship Scheme:

The Royal Mail Chairman: "The Apprentice scheme is an essential part of building the foundations for Royal Mail's future success... as we move into an increasingly competitive market it's vital we continue to work well with all our new joiners to give you the training and support you need to understand how the company works and your role in it.

Royal Mail also recruits people on temporary and seasonal contracts.

Successfully obtain a National Vocational Qualification (NVQ) Level 2 in Mail Services
Gain a broad understanding of Royal Mail operations through formal development and, more importantly, from doing the job!

The Apprenticeship Scheme lasts for 18 months - during this time you should complete your NVQ. Once the NVQ has been successfully signed off by the awarding body and the 18 month Scheme completed, the following 6 months will allow training opportunities for individuals wishing to progress into management.

Limited number of places, the best time to apply is usually Autumn/Winter. Opportunities in areas like: Operations, HR, Finance, Sales and Marketing. On their structured programme, you'll experience up to three job roles within your chosen specialist area, getting to know our brands, strategy, and processes inside out.
