There are also frequent train services to major towns in Kent and London's two main airports are easily accessible by road.

The Borough includes; Beckenham, Orpington, West Wickham, Crystal Palace, Cray Valley, Penge, Chislehurst and Biggin Hill as well as Bromley itself. Bromley has been twinned with Neuwied in Germany since 1987, when the Mayors of the two communities signed a charter in Bromley to ratify the partnership.

Bromley Council has been accredited with the Two Tick Disability Symbol User status which recognises the Councils commitment to good practice in employing disabled people.
