Pete Knowles has put the website together and describes the Kent surfing scene: "Kent surfing has been centred around the Isle of Thanet for 35 years with surfing taking place at Joss Bay, Broadstairs and in more recent years Ramsgate, with surf scenes also in Folkestone and Camber. In particular Thanet has one of the last real local scenes in the UK it’s a place where friendly and local hardcore surfers still have a respect for each other something that has been lost in most other areas, there is also a real surfing heritage going back to the beginning of British surfing."
