Red List Live

Unsigned local acts to play red list live in support of local endangered animal charity - the aspinall foundation.

A multi-arts music festival - in an animal park! Red List LIVE brings you the most exciting acts in music, from brand spanking new electro to old indie favorites, all enveloped in a carnival atmosphere that is as family-friendly as it is exhilarating. The festival will be spread across a number of stages, from the towering main stage that will host the weekend's superstar acts to unsigned band tents showcasing gleaming new musical talent. The ‘Pub' will supply all your ale and chuckle needs and the Dance tent will keep your glow-sticks twirling to the early hours. With seldom seen acts on the Red List stage, jungle frolics at the family zone and a host of other entertainment Red List LIVE promises to be one of the top festivals for 2009.

Kent live music promoter; Hevy, puts on the best of what Kent has to offer. 19-21 June 2009, Port Lympne Wild Animal Park, Kent. The first 50 unsigned acts are announced today to play in support of The Aspinall Foundation at Red List
LIVE.

Launched by The Aspinall Foundation, Red List LIVE will take place 19-21 June at Port Lympne Wild Animal park in Kent. £5 from every weekend ticket sold and 50% of the profits from the festival will goto the charity. A fundraising target of £100,000 has been set for 2009, with the festival hoping to raise £1 million in the next 5 years.

Red List LIVE want to highlight the mass of musical talent in Kent so, they teamed up with local live music promoter Hevy to put on two of the unsigned stages.

Built on a passion for music and a unique ambition, Hevy aspires to deliver live music events that showcase the UKs greatest upcoming bands. Set up in August 2007, Hevy has successfully put on large scale gigs in Kent, putting on the likes of Turin Brakes and The Holloways.

The Young Knives inspired Canterbury trio; Polka Party are set to play on the Indie stage. With their jerky, staccato guitar rhythms, driving basslines, minimalist drumming and lyrical naughtiness, it will be a band not to miss.
Over on the Campfire stage you will find the likes of Tunbridge Wells award winning duo Klaus Says Buy The Record who last year won the Red Stripe Music Award, also not to be missed.

Red List LIVE artist booker Chris Pritchard said;‘I am really excited to see some great Kent based bands playing alongside some of the biggest British and international acts.’

He went on to say;‘We are proud of the talent that is coming out of Kent and this is the chance for many to see what is available on their doorstep.’

James from Hevy said; ‘We can’t wait for Red List LIVE. This fantastic new festival is just what Kent needs, and to be bringing together Kent’s greatest upcoming bands to raise funds for The Aspinall Foundation, is truly an honour.’
