Chief Executive Of The
Year - Award for Kent boss
Frazer Thompson, Chairman of Kent IoD, was crowned Chief Executive of
the Year at an awards ceremony hosted by members of a new London stock
exchange.
Held at the May Fair Hotel in the West End, the Plus Investors Awards
2008 sought to recognise the achievements of senior managers. Plus
Investors is a quote-driven stock exchange for small businesses, trading
more than 1,000 British companies with a combined market capital of
£195bn.
Frazer Thompson is Managing Director of Chapel Down Winery at Small
Hythe near Tenterden, a fast-growing small business and the largest
producer of English wines in the country.
After picking up his trophy, Frazer said: “It was a great surprise and
honour to win. There was an online vote for the various categories,
which was open to members of Plus-quoted investors and advisors.
“It just goes to show that membership of the IoD and excellence in
business go hand in hand.”
More than 200 business people attended Plus Investors Awards and were
entertained by Clare Teal, Jazz Vocalist of the Year 2007.
