19/01/12 Kent Family Business Get's Waitrose Listing - Bennett Opie

Kent-based Bennett Opie has secured listings for Monin Vanilla and Hazelnut syrups in selected Waitrose stores nationwide.

The family-run business in Sittingbourne has distributed Monin in the UK for 25 years, developing the market for flavoured hot drinks including coffees, lattes, mochas and hot chocolates.

The 25cl bottles can be found on the supermarket’s shelves retailing at £2.99, allowing customers to create delicious flavoured drinks at home.

Darril Ling, brand manager at Bennett Opie, said: “Consumers are looking to replicate the coffee house experience in the comfort of their own homes. Vanilla and Hazelnut are the most popular syrups for flavoured hot drinks, and with demand for speciality coffees growing, we are confident they will prove popular with customers.”

Bennett Opie also manufactures an eclectic range of delicacies from around the world including their world-famous pickled walnuts, pickled onions, cocktail cherries, luxury bottled fruit, stem ginger and olives from Provence.
