The Crown & Sceptre - Pubs In Acol - Country Pubs In Kent

A 16th century hostelry set in the Saxon Village of Acol, has all the features and charm that you'd expect of a historic Shepherd Neame pub.

The Crown and Sceptre is divided in two with a restaurant to the rear and traditional bar at the front. The pub has a lot of character and the staff provide swift and friendly service. A good pub menu included; Fish and Chips, Jacket Potatoes, Sandwiches supplemented by a number of excellent 'specials' which are displayed on a board in the restaurant. Shepherd Neame beers as you would expect are served, the bar also has a pool table, darts. jukebox and games machine. I'm told there is a petanque team based at the pub. Like many village pubs much of the custom is local but a warm welcome is extended to all.
