Drakes Cork and Cask, Pubs In Maidstone

If you've ever driven in Maidstone you've probably seen Drakes from the main London Road/Waterside roundabout at the top of the High Street.

Like most Maidstone town centre pubs Drakes has several completely separate identities. Weekday lunchtime trade is predominately office based workers taking a break for a drink and something to eat. The pub has a much younger more vibrant feel in the evenings and at weekends. There is a  DJ on Friday and Saturday evenings with live music on Sundays and the place can get busy. Weekday evenings and weekend lunchtimes tend to attract a mixture of locals, shoppers, quite drinkers and passing trade.

Attractive interior, excellent courtyard which is used in used on high days, holidays and when the fancy takes the landlord.   

Fairly typical range of pub grub and beers  (Boddingtons, HSB an Youngs).  Huge range of spirits, particularly Vodka or Bourbon, if you fancy trying something different try asking the advice of the friendly bar staff in a quiet moment.
