The Royal Naval Reserve - Pubs In Whitstable - Country Pubs In Kent

The Royal Navel Reserve enjoys a plum spot on Whitstable High Street. Both the pub and The Hideaway Restaurant situated on the same site enjoy a good trade all the year round. A reliable quality of Shepherd Neame beers are served. Parking can be a problem at busy times and there is a courtyard beer garden to the rear.

The pub enjoys an excellent reputation for it's food including bouquets in the national media. The pub grub has a strong fish orientation with skate, plaice, sole and rock on the menu. A wide range of snacks and specials are usually available.

The Reserve has the feel of an authentic Kent pub and the trade is a mixture of locals and tourists. A victim of it's own success it can get busy and booking for the restaurant is advisable although not always necessary.

Excellent fish, chips and beer in an authentic Kentish pub environment, we will be going back.
