The Anglesey Arms - Pubs In Bromley - Country Pubs In Kent

Although the Anglesey Arms may be small it can easily described as charming. Tucked away in Palace Road, a short walk away from Bromley North train station, you could easily mistake this Shepherd Neame pub for a small house! The interior won’t take your breath away, but is welcoming and comfortable, with some inoffensive piped music. There is also a small patio outside which would be pleasant on a warm day.

The cellar is stacked with Shepherd Neame’s finest, including the seasonal ales, at the time of writing it was summer, so, Goldings was available, as well as those other Sheps stalwarts: Spitfire and Masterbrew. The beers are kept in a good condition, and it was great to see Orangeboom on tap.

There were two medium sized television screens which show sports. The pub grub menu was simple and reasonably priced. There were various sandwiches of which I tried the steak special which came in at a great £3.
