For many more Kent pubs click here, the current pub review is here. The Crown - Pubs In Seal - Country Pubs In KentYou'll find The Crown on Seal High Street, with parking to the rear. The pub has a long bar facing the street, on the left hand side as you enter is a small dining area, to the right is a pool room, the main bar is between the two. There is a fruit machine and juke box in the pool area with a garden to the rear. The narrowness of the main bar gives an impression of intimacy and it's a nice spot to spend an hour or two. The pub does have live music at the weekends and it can become busy. Beers on offer include: Courage, IPA, John Smiths, Fosters, Stella and Draught Guinness and I know from a previous visit that local micro brewery ales have been kept in the past. A reasonable pub grub menu (starting at about £4) is supplemented by some tempting home made dishes particularly on a Sunday, when visitor might feel inclined to try Lamb Shanks or Bread and Butter Pudding. The age of the clientele is mixed, primarily locals but passing trade is given a warm welcome. Atmosphere and service are good and the pub runs a quiz night on Tuesdays. We will be returning.
