The Green Man - Pubs In Hodsoll Street - Country Pubs In Kent

A great example of a traditional Kentish Downs inn, the Green Man is well known locally as a great venue for a summer visit, largely because of its village location and proximity to the Downs. It is however truly a pub for all seasons and a brilliant venue for food and drink following a bracing winter walk across the hills.

The pub is set on the village green where you will occasionally find Morris Dancers at work, the interior is traditional with hops draped over the bar, a log fire and a scattering of tables in the large friendly main bar.

The bar menu is very accessible with sandwiches, baguettes and wraps starting at about £3.50. The full menu is a little more ambitious with a good selection of up market pub/restaurant favorites like Lamb Shanks, Rabbit Loin, Calves Liver with Bubble & Squeak starting at about £12.

A good selection of real ales usually on tap in a smoke free atmosphere. Regular themed evenings (Curry Nights, Quiz Nights, etc) ensure the pub stays busy throughout the week. If you want to eat at weekends high days and holidays it's always worth booking.
