The idyllic terrace with tables that overlook the river is an idyllic place for a relaxing summer afternoon. Aside from the inviting terrace, the interior of this 16th Century coach house is charming with several rooms and quaint low ceilings. There are no-smoking areas, and the pub does have parking facilities. The pub is open all day and serves food at both lunch-times and evenings (12pm-3pm and 6pm-10pm). There are also a selection of sandwiches available at lunchtime, a modest sized wine list and on Sunday, a full roast with all the trimmings. Children are welcome and so too are well behaved dogs, outside of the dining areas. Once a month the pub hosts live jazz music and a beer festival is held over the summer. The Man of Kent has been awarded the Cask Marque accreditation, which represents excellence in the serving of cask ale.
