The Leather Bottle - Pubs In Cobham - Country Pubs In KentThe picturesque village of Cobham is situated in between Gravesend and Strood, The Leather Bottle is on the main street, opposite the church. The decor of this pub is dominated by memorabilia of it's most famous patron, Charles Dickens. The Leather Bottle was built almost 400 hundred years ago in 1629, and it was featured in Dickens's 'The Pickwick Papers'. There are a selection of well kept real ales, including the Shepherd Neame staples, as well as Courage Best and John Smith's. There is a fine choice of food on the menu, ranging from three course meals, to the more modest ploughman's and sandwiches. The pub is open all day, and food is served 12.30pm - 2.30pm, and 7pm - 9.30pm in the evenings. There is an ample pub car park, and an excellent beer garden which can accommodate up to 100 people. Children are welcome. The Leather Bottle also has several rooms and suites, some of which have impressive four poster beds. You can find The Leather Bottle at:
