The Red Lion - Pubs In Sittingbourne - Pubs In Kent

The Red Lion in the High Street in Sittingbourne is highlighted this week. The Red Lion is a traditional town centre pub in a historical building with a friendly and relaxed atmosphere and was the winner of the "Kent Town Centre Pub of the Year" in 1998. The landlord provides a good selection of real ales in addition to the usual beverages and includes Sussex, Addnams, Fullers and Brains. They also feature locally brewed beer from time to time including Swale Ale.

The pub provides a bar menu as well as a full restaurant service, bar meals include filled potatoes, hot meals and huge sandwiches and deservedly has a good lunchtime trade. There is a courtyard garden for warmer days. 

Opening hours are:

• 11 – 3 and 6 – 11 Monday to Saturday
• and 12 – 3 and 7 – 10.30 on Sunday.

There is limited parking in the High Street but there are car parks nearby.
