Ringlestone Inn - Pubs In Ringlestone Hamlet - Country Pubs In Kent

The Ringlestone Inn is housed in a historic building dating from 1533 and is best described as a traditional country pub. The interior is in keeping with the old building with period fixtures and fittings, open beams and floorboards, lamps on tables and an open fire. The pub is located in a small hamlet with few houses within walking distance so there is little local trade but nevertheless the pub gets plenty of custom from people prepared to travel for good food, good beer and very pleasant surroundings.

There is a separate restaurant that features a wide and varied menu featuring local produce and own recipe’s and has a good evening trade. Home made pies feature on the menu with game, lamb and little lamb and stilton. A good range of starters and sweets are also on offer Lunchtime food is from a well stocked buffet. Prices start from about £5 and most main courses are around £10.There are a wide selection of ales on sale among those on display were, Greene King, Old Peculiar, John Smiths Smooth and Spitfire with most in casks on the bar. There is also a wide selection of fruit and country wines.

There is a lovely large country pub garden and ample car parking. The pub can get busy on summer evenings but is well worth a visit.

The Ringlestone Inn can be found:

  • Ringlestone Hamlet,
    Nr. Harrietsham,
    Maidstone.

High praise for The Ringlestone from some Canadian visitors;

"We are from Edmonton, Canada and recently visited the Ringlestone Pub with some friends from Hamgreen. I've never tried lamb in my life, but I did in the restaurant and would have to say it was lovely. From the fire place, with the old furniture that resembles something one might see in a hobbit's house, to the smooth floor stones and ancient beam ceilings, it's an ambiance that allows you to actually slip back in time, so cool! ...and the beers were really good too! Visiting your pub was just one more of the pleasant experiences, my wife and I shall cherish from our trip to beautiful Kent, England. Regards, "The Canadians"
