Selling, is tucked away off a small country lane in Perry Wood at Selling
(near Faversham).
This former 16th century woodcutters cottage is at the top of Crown Hill, has a beautiful, traditional interior and a terrific garden that's an idyllic spot on a warm summer's evening. The garden has a grassy area with some outdoor tables, an attractive verdant terrace. There is also a small children's play area overlooked from the tables on the terrace. The interior of the pub is decorated with hops, and ancient views of the locality. The Rose and Crown has a well deserved reputation for cask ale and you'll generally find three or four quality beers on tap. There is a typical pub
food menu supplemented with a specials board, on our visit they were
serving; Moroccan Lamb with Couscous,
There is a main bar area with a small no smoking restaurant. You can eat in the bar, restaurant or in the garden. Although a little remote the Rose & Crown can be reached from Selling station which is about 2 miles away. Staff were friendly, a large car park on site. All major credit cards accepted.
