The White Horse - Pubs In Borstal - Country Pubs In KentThe White Horse is a Greene King boozer on the busy Borstal Street in Borstal, it has a small car park and there is some parking round about, the pub has double yellow lines directly outside. The pub is compact, built around a central island that is the bar area. To the left is a small room with carpeted floor, tables and chairs and an open fire. The room also has an attractive mural featuring...a white horse. The rest of the pub has wooden floors with bar stools and a couple of tables. Fixtures and fitting are of a traditional style, lots of green glass and brass (typical of Greene King pubs). The overall effect is quite pleasing, the pub feels warm/friendly and slightly bohemian. Ruddles County, Greene King IPA, Kronenburg and Carling as well as the usual range of pub beverages are on sale. The pub has a 'Pub Grub' menu as well as sandwiches with a menu board advertising a home made special each day; steak pudding and beef stew for example. The pub is reasonably quiet weekday lunchtimes but can get busy in the evening. The White Horse has teams that compete in darts, football and quiz competitions so if you want/don't want to cheer on the ladies darts team check in advance for further details. There was a pretty serious table football game in one corner and a piano in the other so you might find The White Horse has hidden depths to the entertainment available. The White Horse
