Yorks Ale House - Pubs In Maidstone - Country Pubs In Kent

Yorks is a town centre pub just off Gabriel's Hill in Maidstone, it enjoys a lively lunchtime trade made up largely of people working nearby. The evening and weekend trade is more mixed with shoppers, locals and people on the town for a night out.

It has probably been ten years since I last visited this pub and it had changed little with a traditional interior of floorboards and exposed beams. Although I fancy the food area is much more prominent than it was. Yorks used to be a place for a good pint and my glass of London Pride didn't disappoint. Marston Pedigree, Carling, Strongbow, Caffreys and Stella were all available on draught.

When we visited the lunchtime menu included; Steak & Mushroom Pie, Smoked Bacon and Chicken Pasta and Cajun Prawn Sizzler.

There is also a Sunday Carvery Live music is now a regular fixture on a Friday night.
