Instead of the usual prawn crackers, which are very good, try some Sesame toast, which is moist and hot and yummy. This is definitely the place to enjoy aromatic crispy duck, the combination of onions, cool cucumber and hoi sin sauce all wrapped round that scrummy duck is a must. If you don’t think you can manage all six pancakes with the quarter duck then share with a friend. The half duck with twelve pancakes is definitely for a family affair, but don’t get involved with anyone who is too lazy to join in with the wrapping and rolling which is all part of the fun. It’s really hard to chose which dish to follow the duck but shredded beef with chilli sauce, fried chicken with cashew nuts and sweet and sour spare ribs are all winners. Service in the Restaurant is good and seating is very comfortable. You can also order food to take away and deservedly has a lot of customers who take this option, or you can enjoy a special price ‘all you can eat’ buffet. With a starter you can expect to pay about £12 per person.Loon Hin is closed all day on Mondays (except Bank Holidays) and open from 6pm to 11pm all other days except Friday and Saturday when it stays open to Midnight.
