A fair sized menu with most pasta dishes costing under £6, the emphasis is on good Italian food with no frills in a stylish café style environment. Good attentive service can make or break this kind of restaurant and I'm pleased to report the young waiting staff were fast, friendly and efficient. The menu is divided up into; Starters, Salads, Specialties, Pasta and Pizzas, and there is a reasonable wine list. The starters are particularly good at Si, a very tasty Insalata di Tonno (Tuna, tomato and onion salad) costs around £4 and a Baresana (Grilled bread with asparagus, cheese and ham) will set you back £2.95. For my main course I tried Fettuccine alla Romana, which was well presented in a decent sized portion, the pasta was "al dente" with a very palatable cream, ham and mushroom sauce. My dining partner sampled a Ham, Rocket and Cheese Pizza, nice base and a delicious topping. Other highlights from the menu include: Starters:

Si is open: 11.45am - 10.45pm
Monday to Saturday In terms of accessibility the restaurant is a level open plan with a small step down from the front door and there are smoking and non-smoking areas. Si offers good quality value for money Italian food, is equally suited to a brief lunchtime snack or a multi course dinner and we look forward to a return visit. Si doesn't take reservations on Friday and Saturday nights, doesn't accept cheques. You can find Si at:
