The restaurant is on your left hand side as you enter the building and the premises have been completely refurbished since my last visit some four years ago. It's much more a restaurant and pub than a pub that serves food. The menu has recently received a makeover and there are separate menus for lunchtime and dinner. Sandwiches, wraps, baguettes and melts fall in the £4.50 - £5.50 price range and there is a wide choice, all are served with chips. Starters is the area where I think Beefeaters have improved the most in recent years. I can recommend the Lamb Koftas with sour cream dip. All the old favorites are still on the main course menu but I think the Lemon Chili Chicken is a pretty good choice; a large chicken breast with a generous portion of moist rice. It's not Haute Cuisine but you'll find good service, well presented food and attentive staff in the restaurant and bar. There is a kids menu as well as a number of offers so ask before you buy. Portions are pretty good and prices fair on a like for like comparison. If you haven't been to this place for a while it's worth trying out. We two ate a starter and main course each for under £40 (without drinks), If you don't have time for a meal try the Tuna and Black Olive Melt, they are delicious.
