Consumer Reviews Of Standard Life Insurance Products
We provide details of a select number of life insurers on these pages. We have been publishing insurance product reviews for nearly ten years. In that time our own direct experience and the feedback of our users and researchers has helped us shape and develop the content here. Where we have specific experience of a product we normally say so.
We take user feedback into account and any product or service on the Yourcounty website that prompts a significant amount of negative comment is normally removed. Any views published here reflect the thoughts of the reviewer and are based on personal experience or user feedback/other sources of information and don't represent an authoritative market study. We're delighted if you find our comments useful but you can help us - and our other users out there by letting us know when you've had a particularly good or bad insurance related experience.
About Standard Life Insurance
On this page we focus on Standard Life, so perhaps we can begin by talking a little about them. Bear in mind that the size of a company nor it's past history are necessarily reliable indicators of the competitiveness of any of the products it may sell. However Standard Life has a history going back nearly 200 years, mostly as a mutual company, although they demutualised 2006, now they have close to 1.6m shareholders spread around the world. The business manages over £180b and in addition to insurance they also offer clients; stocks and shares, pensions and ISA products
Life Insurance Quotations
The insurance is a LV= Life Insurance plan. You'll need to visit the website to check out the specific terms and conditions. It's basic aims can be summed up by: providing a lump sum or paying off a mortgage in the event of the insured person's death. Providing the option for a reduced payout if the insured is diagnosed with a terminal illness.
The Standard Life Plan
The reason why we feature the Standard Life plan is that cover starts at as little as £5 a month making it one of the most accessible products in the marketplace. The online application process is quick and simple to complete (compared to others we've tried). And there is a little sweetener in the form of £60 M&S vouchers. If this fits the kind of product you're looking for click on the banner below. Don't forget if you have other recommendation for an alternative product let us know, and where possible we'll share your thoughts (feedback details at the foot of the page).
Home Insurance Comparison Websites
We'll have to plead ignorance on this subject, we don't have much experience of life insurance comparison websites. I've previously stated that my car insurance quotes have generally not been bettered buy the direct comparison boys but life insurance may a be a different kettle of fish. If you have some first hand experience why not share it?
