27/01/10 Deadline Looming For Primary Admissions - Bexley
Parents and carers of children born between 1 September 2005 and 31 August 2006 have until 29 January to apply for a primary school place in Bexley. The simplest and safest way to apply for that all important place in on line through the Council's website. The easy to use e-admission website available from the link on the right takes parents through the process, providing links to useful information to help them apply for schools. The added advantage of applying on-line is that parents and carers that do so will not have to produce their Council Tax bills at their primary schools. A new electronic checking system means that the Council will be able to cross reference the applicant's details with Council Tax information. Free internet use is available at all of the borough's libraries. Library staff are on hand to help parents and carers fill in their admission forms. The e-admissions system runs alongside the traditional paper method of applying for school places. Parents and carers wishing to apply for school using the paper method can collect a Bexley Primary Common Application Form from any Bexley Primary School, including church schools, or the Contact Centre, Civic Offices, Bexleyheath Broadway. To find out more about the e-admissions scheme, important application dates and primary school information, visit the 'Primary Schools' link on the right, or contact the Admissions Grants and Awards Team on 020 303 7777 option 6. Closing date for all applications is 29 January 2010.
