With the centenary of the start of the First World War fast approaching, a Kent duo has recorded a fitting tribute to the men who took part.
For the Fallen is based on the poem by Robert Laurence Binyon (1869-1943) and is a touching song, composed by Geoff Stephens, about the men who failed to return from war.
Sung by Martin Milnes and Janet Tootal, it is being sold on behalf of the Battle of Britain Memorial Trust and was first aired at the Trust’s annual Memorial Day at The National Memorial the Few at Capel-le-Ferne earlier this month.
The song was arranged by Mark Dickman and recorded and produced by Ken Peers. It can be bought for £5 from the Trust by telephoning the National Memorial to the Few on 01303 249292. Alternatively call 01732 870809 or email email@example.com
