25/11/11 Hire Mote Hall For Free - Maidstone Leisure Centre

Sporting and cultural groups can apply for a let of Mote Hall at the Maidstone Leisure Centre for free.

Each year five Free Lets are available for events, as part of the contract with the on-site contractor Serco, to community organisations within the Maidstone Borough.

The criteria for granting a Free Let are:

• that the event must be sporting or cultural
• is unlikely to proceed without a Free Let
• essentially non-fundraising

One further consideration is the Council’s emphasis on supporting activities for young people, and it is now common practice that preference should be given to events which support this aim.

The Free Let covers the cost of hiring out the hall; all other incidental costs incurred by the Leisure Centre must be met by the event organisers.
