29/01/12 Lane Closure On Rochester Bridge - February
The old Rochester Bridge, which carries traffic westbound towards Strood, will be affected by essential repair work next month (February).
A lane closure will be put in place over two weekends as work is carried out to replace damaged stonework.
The inner lane of the old bridge will be closed from Friday, February 3, to Sunday, February 5, and again on Friday, February 10.
The cycle lane and pedestrian footway will be closed from Friday, February 3, through to Friday, February 10. An alternative route for pedestrians and cyclists will be available via the new bridge.
The work is being carried out by Mott Macdonald on behalf of the Rochester Bridge Trust, which owns the bridge.
