The M25

The London Orbital is one of the most important routes in Europe and essential to Kent's road connections to the rest of the UK. The motorway is just under 120 miles in length. It's generally accepted that parts of the M25 are not able to cope with the volume of traffic they now experience. At peak periods even relatively minor incidents can cause long delays to thousands of motorists.

• One of the biggest and best of the UK's integrated transport databases is at Transport Direct, it includes road delays and incidents on major routes.
