The M25, the London Orbital is one of the most important routes in Europe and essential to Kent's road connections to the rest of the UK. The motorway is just under 120 miles in length. It's generally accepted that parts of the M25 are not able to cope with the volume of traffic they now experience. At peak periods even relatively minor incidents can cause long delays to thousands of motorists. The problem for users is what to do when there is an incident, what alternatives exist. At peak times the issue is very challenging, with thousands of cars using the 'A' roads leading to and from the M25.

  • BBC M25 Traffic News - http://www.bbc.co.uk/london/travel/roads/m25_feature.shtml - Reliable London centric traffic news, in our opinion the map isn't as user friendly as others on this page. Traffic news also delivered as scrolled bullet points. Excellent London and home counties traffic news links
