Platinum Credit Card

Stop paying interest on your balancesTransfer your existing balances and you’ll pay 0% for 13 months plus you could pay 0% on your purchases for 3 months from account opening.

Pay by Direct Debit
Why worry about late payments? You can settle the balance in full or make the minimum payment. However, we don’t recommend that you only ever make your minimum payment.

Need a little bit of breathing space for your finances? After six months you can ask us to review your credit limit.
Money transfers by phone
Transfer money from your Platinum Credit Card to any UK bank account. The minimum is £250 - and you just pay your money transfer rate from the date of the transfer. Please refer to our rates and fees for more information.

Purchases and balance transfers

For a whole 13 months from account opening you’ll pay 0% interest on your balance transfers.
And for 3 months from account opening you could also pay 0% on your purchases.
There’s just a 3% fee when you transfer a balance during the first 3 months with a minimum of £5

Typical 16.9% APR (variable)

Transfer up to a limit of 95% of your credit limit
Balance transfers are limited to 95% of your available credit limit so, if your new Platinum Credit Card has a limit of £2000, you could switch up to £1900. Transfers from other Royal Bank of Scotland Group cards are not permitted.
Please note that if you take advantage of the 0% balance transfer offer and the 0% purchase offer, your monthly payments will be used to pay off your balance transfer first.
56 days interest-free credits on purchases
If you pay the balance in full and on time and have paid the previous month's balance in full and on time.
Daily cash advance
Use your Platinum Credit Card to get up to £750 each day (depending on your credit limit) from cash machines worldwide. Subject to a 3% handling fee with a minimum £3.00.
No annual fee
Royalties - get more from your credit card
If you are a Royalties current account customer you are guaranteed a 1% initial discount on the APR for at least 12 months. Rates variable. Please log in to online banking and apply using the ‘credit card’ link to take advantage of this offer online.
