Bourne's Butchers In New Romney, Free Range Chicken, Pork And Lamb

It's been little while since our last visit to Bourne's Butchers, if you have a recent experienced we would welcome your feedback. New Romney is on the very edge of Romney Marshes, known locally as 'The Marsh'. The retail sector is mixed but there are more independent shops than many of the other towns in South Kent although some local businesses closed following the opening of a Sainsbury's supermarket. The Romney sheep is now bred around the world but reflects the area's traditional links with the production of meat and wool.

Bourne's Butchers have been providing a wide range of "locally sourced, naturally reared, free range meats and meat products" for nearly 20 years. One of their major suppliers is Natural Farms from Sussex. Natural Farms are an established meat producer with a commitment to animal welfare and sustainable farming. They supply a small number of butchers in the home counties. This link for the The Kent Food Directory.

Bourne's reputation has been built on quality and choice. Alongside pork, beef and lamb you can also find corn-fed chicken, quail, venison, wild boar, ostrich and kangaroo. As well as kebabs, sausages, burgers, meat pies, spit roasted chickens, dry-cured smoked and unsmoked bacon rashers and cold meats.

Bourne's Butchers can be found at 66 High Street (opposite the library) in New Romney, Kent, TN28 8AT or call them on 01797 362376, we're unaware of any website, if you know different please let us know.
