The local market is an award winner, having been voted Best Farmers' Market In Kent - Kent Life Magazine Food & Drinks Awards 2004. It started life in 2003 following a suggestion from the Village Hall Management Committee as a new village service and the concept was to invest all profits back into the community through the maintenance of the Capel Village Hall.
The Market is currently (at the time of writing) being held every Tuesday from 10am to 12.30pm at the Village Hall in Lancaster Avenue, Cap el-le-Ferne. Profits from these markets goes back into the maintenance of the village hall. These links for the The Kent Food Directory, more Kent Farmers' Markets
