Standard Quay, Fresh Food At The Faversham Market

Faversham is a picturesque medieval town and worth a visit in its own right. The Farmers' market has moved around the town and the opening times have changed over the years. Like all retail ventures it is subject to market conditions, if you are travelling any distance check first with the market organisers.

The market takes place (at the time of writing) every Sunday from 10am to 2pm, on the Standard Quay against a backdrop of old barges. There is free parking, tea rooms, and a flea market. This links for the The Kent Food Directory.

There are up to half a dozen food stalls but not all are present every week. You can usually expect to find:

  • Nethergong Nurseries - Vegetables and fruit
  • Slow Bread - Handmade artisan bread and croissants
  • David Law's Pork - All types of pork produce from a herd of Rare Breed British Saddlebacks.
  • Marsh Produce Ltd - Rare breed lamb and pork, all born and raised on our farm. And 28 day matured Dexter Beef.
  • Wild Bread - Organic bread with locally sourced ingredients (where possible !)
