The Winter Box

The Farm

This activity is actually made up of two separate but adjoining farms integrated into a 1100 acre site set on the chalky loam soil of the North Downs of Kent. Soil Association standards have been met at the farm for twenty five years.

Local Organic Produce

Luddesdown is in North Kent so subscription to the box scheme is going to be limited to that area, if in doubt get in touch with the farm. The farm produces and sells organic vegetables and meat , it describes its produce as both organic and high quality.

The box scheme is subject to change but you can typically expect a weekly box of fresh organic vegetables delivered to your door. Boxes come in three sizes;

  • The regular (or medium) box contains mixed produce that should meet the needs of a family of four for about a week.
  • The large box would suit a bigger family, it could also be shared by two families or meet the needs of a family of vegetarians.
  • The small box provides enough weekly vegetables for a couple or individual.

By joining the box scheme you are not only getting you organic veg locally from a sustainable source but also supporting a environmentally friendly system that maintains local jobs and keeps the carbon footprint of your food very low. All the produce carries The Soil Association Symbol .
