Rolvenden Farmers' Market

The market is held In the thirteenth century church of St. Mary the Virgin and in the new village hall just opposite the church right in the centre of this pretty Kentish village. The Market was started over a year ago and has gone from strength to strength, now having over twenty five regular stalls. You will find fresh local fruit and vegetables, organic and natural meat, free range eggs, milk, cream and cheeses (some goats' cheese), home made cakes, local smokery foods, jams, chutneys and relishes, not to mention hand-made soap, woodland products, plants galore, herbs, Mohair and garden wickerwork.

The church is well worth a visit in its own right, steeped in local history, and the village hall is spacious and welcoming, offering somewhere to sit awhile and have coffee or a light snack. Rolvenden is situated in the south-west of the county, some 4 miles south of Tenterden on the A28. Rolvenden Farmers' Market is open from 10am - 12 noon every Thursday. If you are interested in taking a stall at the market please call Mrs. Ellie Cawte the farmers market coordinator on 01797 252248 for more information.

This Farmers' Market was set up by a group of volunteers in the village, originally with no outside financial help. Our aim is to offer an outlet for farmers and producers in the area to sell their produce direct to the consumer, and to encourage local people to buy local goods. All our stallholders come from within 30 miles, and most are from local villages. This is a friendly Market - come and take a look at us.
