Tree-gate
- Caffeine free natural teas made in Kent
Tree-gate is a young company operating in
SE Kent producing unique teas from native British woodland, hedgerows and
herbs. They produce three blends of tea; Love, Freedom and Beauty.
Their carefully created, unique speciality
teas present beautiful, original flavours with strong links to history,
folklore and traditional medicine.
Tree-gate provides an alternative source of
income from standing woodland and they are committed to a system of
re-planting and reforesting. For every 10 packets of tea sold they claim
to plant a tree.
- Love - Refreshing and
replenishing, with a sophisticated mellow, smoky flavour. Contains
Hawthorn a wild and enchanted tree. Celtic lore maintained that
Hawthorn has the ability to release blocked energy and open the heart
to giving and receiving love. By releasing stress it enhances one’s
ability to let go and trust. Hawthorn is the primary remedy for all
problems of the heart. The addition of Dandelion, Lacender and Rose
petal lifts the blend.
- Freedom - Combines a mild,
cleansing taste with a distinct woodiness. Contains Ash, which was
believed to represent movement in life, connecting the spirit to the
other world and holding the key to universal truth. It was considered
by the druids to be one of the five sacred trees, enhancing spiritual
understanding which affects every decision in life: your mind
affecting your spirit, your health and all that you attract to
yourself. The distant hint of St. Johns Wort, with a nose of Rosemary
complete this subtle blend.
- Beauty - A fresh tasting, smooth
and purifying drink. Contains Birch, the first tree in the Celtic tree
Ogham. Tea from its leaves was drunk to signify new beginnings, new
opportunities - physical and spiritual - and was believed to prepare
the mind. Birch tea is also an old remedy to combat cystitis, urinary
problems, rheumatism and arthritis. The crispness of mint compliments
this calming, detoxifying and imaginative tea.
